“William Faulkner once said, ‘Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world…would do this, it would change the earth.’ Amongst the military spouse community walks many mentors, but few have the tenacity and commitment of Erin Whitehead. She is an advocate for our quality of life, a friend to many, and a role model to all. She doesn’t let political correctness stand in the way of her fight for a better standard for her peers and she leads with her heart. I am proud to know, she not only represents the Marine Corps, but the entire military in her aspirations to create a stronger military family.” — Bianca Strazalkowski, Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year, 2011
“Erin Whitehead has emerged as a true leader for the 1.1 military spouses worldwide. She is the quintessential military spouse: a mom, a volunteer, a friend, a colleague, a single parent. More than that, she is changing the world. With her blogs, inspirational words each day, and her witty and entertaining repartee, both in print and online, she has become an advocate I look forward to hearing about each and every day. She is one of THE most dedicated and hard-working military spouses I’ve ever met. The military spouse world is a far, far better place with Erin Whitehead working for it. I consider it an honor to name her among those I call friends as well as share with her the roads of military spouse life. ” — Babette Maxwell, Founder of The Military Spouse of the Year Awards
